An inspiring entrepreneurship

Since November 2019 when he joined the company, Griven’s CEO Luca M. Meinardi has focused on the idea of transforming the architectural lighting industry through top-quality, innovative solutions with an eye to innovation and sustainability. “In these years, we have been working hard to consolidate our brand positioning withing a steadily growing and competitive market staying faithful to our core values: quality, innovation, and sustainability. Nowadays we cannot ignore urgent top priorities regarding the workers’ wellbeing and the current worldwide environmental conditions. That’s why we have taken our commitment a step further through a global certified management system that rules our general behavior according to ethical principles” are the words of Luca Meinardi. Under his inspirational guidance, the company has achieved three important international certifications that testify a coherent commitment to the three pilasters of its philosophy.

“Quality is a core value in all our activities and such commitment pervades all of our functions and processes through a coordinated synergy among the company departments. Our ISO 9001 certification help us improve the quality of our products and services to consistently meet our customers’ expectations in an increasingly competitive market” states Meinardi.

For some years now, Griven has been investing in a prevention program aimed at improving the environmental sustainability of all its activities acting on basic criteria, such as: facilitation of recycling activities, use of recycled materials, saving of raw materials, optimization of logistics, simplification of the packaging system, optimization of production processes, and reduction of energy waste.

To bring this commitment to a higher level, Meinardi has decided to go for a certification that could become not only a public testament of this ongoing process but also a guideline for further improvement steps in this challenging direction. A must for any organization that wishes to set up, improve, or maintain an environmental friendly attitude, the certification ISO 14001 is the international standard that specifies all the requirements for an effective environmental management system (EMS). Now it is part and parcel of the company’s ambitious sustainability goals.

“Energy saving solutions are becoming more and more important for the preservation of our environment and of its limited resources.  We have already moved in this direction upgrading our production and supply processes. As a result, our lighting fixtures are 90% recyclable and  95% of their components comes from production sites located in less than a 100 km distance. We follow strict internal energy saving and environmental friendly procedures. We are also implementing new lighting technologies which are respectful towards the safe development of vegetal and animal environments. All our efforts go in this direction” further explains Luca Meinardi.

Griven also promotes the values that are essential to collaborative work, such as trust, accountability, mutual respect, and fairness. “The work place is far more than just a place where people work. Spaces and places have a massive impact not only on our state of mind but also on our performance. As we care about our people, we do everything to improve their everyday conditions, creating a natural, healthy and, first of all, safe working environment. In all our offices we have installed 100% LED lighting, which are capable of creating a wholesome and well lit ambience, while allowing energy savings. The air recirculation and purification system installed in our offices allows a safe breathing condition and is fed with zero emission green energy sources. The lighting system of our exterior building, parking and gardens is also 100% LED. The newly achieved ISO 45001 certification ensures that people operate in safe workplaces that provide transparency, prevent accidents, and allow better team cooperation” tells us the Griven’s CEO.

He also has clear ideas about the future of the company: “We don’t want to be the leader of the market, this is not our goal. We want to be always the best in what we do. We want to concentrate all our efforts in our expertise areas delivering the best possible solutions in terms of products, services, and human relationships.” An ambitious goal for an ambitious leader.
