Mike began his career in pet funeral services after the loss of his precious dogs, Hannah and Luke. He created the first pet funeral home with on-site cremation of its kind in 2009. With that success, Mike was driven to make this incredible service available to as many people as possible. Andrea shared the heartwarming story of how she became an integral part of Pet Passages®. She met Mike Harris, the Founder & CEO, through some mutual friends, and their connection was meant to be. Just three months later, she was in the process of applying to volunteer in a human hospice center, and unexpectedly, Andrea’s dog had a stroke and needed to be euthanized.
Reflecting on that challenging time, Andrea states, “ It was truly one of the hardest moments of my life. As God’s plan would have it, it was Mike who took care of my Joey’s afterlife care.”
This experience brought them together, and they started dating about 6 months later. Moreover, these incidents also sparked Andrea’s passion to help people through the grieving process and empower pet owners to deal with their most vulnerable moments As a grieving pet parent, she . began her journey with Pet Passages® after losing her beloved dog.
